Do you feel intimidated to ask the question "Are you thinking about suicide?" - Don't worry, I was intimidated too. That is why I created Road Map Mental Health Tools and Training.
Road Map was created out of a desire to connect with and equip people with practical tools and effective communication methods. After 6+ years of experience in the community studies field, my passion to equip people with communication tools, suicide awareness, suicide prevention strategies and life-saving skills grew.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Community Studies with a focus in Communication Strategies from Cape Breton University. My passion for facilitation started as a peer facilitator in the communication labs at CBU. I also hold a Graduate Certificate in Victimology from Algonquin College (shoutout to my life in Ottawa!). This designation provides me with a foundation of a trauma-informed approach, crisis response, mental health support and sudden and traumatic loss.
I am a certified LivingWorks ASIST [applied suicide intervention skills and training] and LivingWorks safeTALK [suicide alertness for everyone] facilitator.
I look forward to meeting you!
